Day 1

Yesterday my uncle brought us to the camping Nommerlayen in Luxembourg. We were allowed to borrow the caravan from my uncle, so he also brought us and placed the caravan on the right spot. We had quite some fun during the trip, which took four hours, with a full loaded car because my mom and Teun went with us too. We met Eline, the women who allowed us to do our internship over here, but it was busy so she would explain more the next morning, which was today. So this morning after we had breakfast and woke up earlier than we planned, we went to the reception at 10 o'clock where we met Eline. She gave us a nametag and brought us to the"Miny Club' where we met two members of the animation team, Amber and Romee told us some basic things and brought us to the staff room and gave us our animation shirts. Nina and I had to split up, I was asked to join Myrna with the aqua aerobics and Nina to help with the curling for kids. I really liked it, all the running, jumping and sort of dancing, but it was really hot so at the end we also jumped in the water. Maybe it wasn't a really good idea to jump in, because I had to wear that shirt all day. But I was lucky that I got a break from 12 o'clock til 2 o'clock, so my shirt could dry in the sun. We had lunch together and just had a rest for a moment. We met again at 2 o'clock for a darts tournament where at we had to count the points. It wasn't boring but it also wasn't my favourite activity. It was finished at 3 o'clock, actually all activities over here take around one hour. At 4 o'clock there was a volleyball tournament, where we helped/participated.I helped by participating because there were an uneven number of children so l had to join to make fair teams. The sun had been on the sand which made it really hot, but I did still enjoy it, although we lost all matches. We got diner with the rest of the team at 5.30. We got fish with mashed potatoes which tasted good, After diner we still had an hour left until the next activity so we quickly went to the shop because we wanted some fruit, we bought peaches our next activity started in an hour so we took a quick shower. The activity was a slide competition which was really fun and lasted for almost one hour. The next game was"levend stratego", which is a really nice but 72 children came which is a too big amount to play that game with so it didn't really work anymore. We were finished at 10 o'clock after which we also had a luttle meeting about who was going to do what tomorrow After that we went back to the caravan, after a long but nice first day.
